Will AI book without my permission?
It depends which of the two paths you mean, and the difference matters. Public AI booking is on by default for Pro+ accounts: a customer’s assistant can hold a slot and send them a payment link without asking you first — the same as someone booking through your widget. Nothing is charged unless the customer pays, the hold expires on its own, and you can switch it off any time in AI Settings.
Connecting your own assistant is different: you issue a key, grant each capability separately, and every booking, quote or refund it proposes waits for your approval.
Which AI assistants can book?
Any assistant your customer uses that can connect to BoatPassport's open booking gateway — including ChatGPT and other agents that speak the standard connector protocol. You don't have to integrate anything yourself.
Will it ever quote the wrong price?
It reads your real pricing, taxes, and fees directly — so quotes match what a customer would pay booking with you any other way. It can't invent a discount.
